Shrimp Creole 1 lb. shrimp 1/2 cup chopped onions 1 chopped garlic clove 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/3 cup chopper bell pepper 1 Tbsp butter 2 cups water 2 cups tomatoes 1 cup tomato puree 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. Tabasco 1/2 tsp. salt Saute onion, garlic, celery, and green pepper in buter until tender. Add water, tomatoes and puree. Simmer 10 minutes and add salt, Worcestershire and Tabasco sauce. Cook mixture slowly for 1 hour or until mixture is very thick. Add cleaned shrimp. Use fresh shrimp. Simmer for about 30 minutes more or until shrimp are pink and tender. Serve over rice. | ||||||||||||||||

Chicken Tamale Pie 1 onion, chopped 1 medium bell pepper 1 chicken 1 medium chile 1 dozen tamales (your favorite brand) 1 can mushrooms 1 can hominy grated cheese Saute onions and bell peppers in butter. More Chocolate Chip Cookie 1 1/2 cups butter, softened 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup packed light brown sugar 3 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3/4 tsp. salt 4 cups (24 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large mixer bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy. add eggs and vanilla, beat until light and fluffy. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt, gradually beat into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly, remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. cool completely. Makes about 7 1/2 dozen cookies. | ||||||||||||||||
